Removal of calculus and plaque from above and below the gumline. Otherwise known as “teeth cleaning.” This process can prevent gingivits and slow down or arrest periodontal disease.

Guided Biofilm Therapy Protocol is followed.

How much time required varies between patients but is billed in units of time…

1 unit is 15 minutes

Fluoride can make the enamel of teeth stronger!

Certain individuals are more prone to tooth decay. Applying fluoride to the tooth surface may reduce your risk for decay by slowing it down or even preventing it!

Fluoride also assists in reducing tooth sensitivity.

Fluoride varnish is applied directly to the teeth using a micro brush.

X-rays may be taken to determine bone levels and detect decay lurking under the surface of your teeth.

Digital technology is used so it’s fast and the level of radiation is low.

If decay is detected, a referral to a dentist will be recommended and the images will be forwarded to them upon your request.

Remember… not all cavities hurt and it is best to have them found and restored before they do!

If your teeth are sensitive, I can apply a product to the areas of root exposure that cause sensitivity to diminish the pain!

Your head and neck is examined to detect any unusual lumps and bumps. If anything is found a visit to your doctor may be recommended.

Your mouth and oral tissues are also examined for abnormalities and a referral to a specialist may be necessary if anything out of the ordinary is found.

Teeth are also visually inspected for signs of decay. If anything is spotted you can visit your dentist or I can provide a name for you.

Nobody was born knowing how to take care of their teeth so while you have your teeth cleaned I can provide tips on how to manage the health of your mouth.

You and I will work together to determine methods that work for you and help clarify the many options available to you on the market.

“Oraqix” needle free anaesthetic is used as needed to numb gum tissue for increased comfort during scaling.

Unlike traditional local anaesthetic, “Oraqix” is applied below the gumline without penetrating the tissue.

Your child’s first dental experience should be stress free.

If your child is under 3 years of age at their first visit, they will take a ride in the chair and I may introduce your them to some of the tools I use… like a mirror to count teeth and “Mr. Slurpy.”

Provide your dental insurance information at the time of booking. If you don’t have insurance… no worries! My clients find my fees within reason and Visa, Mastercard, Interac and e-transfer are all accepted.
